Lincoln tunnel ticket

The other day I got a ticket entering the Lincoln tunnel for going 29 in a 5 mile an hour zone. I was cruising down the ramp and just sort of rolled through. All tickets given at the Lincoln tunnel require an appearance at the Weehawken Municipal Court. A fact that seems to be nothing more than an excuse to gouge you for additional fines. There are lawyers who offer their services in the court and I'm wondering if anyone has done this or had any success using a lawyer. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

No option to pay online, or mail in a check?

I'm assuming they have you on tape, so going in to fight the ticket seems pointless.

Response by poster: No option. It it a mandatory court appearance.
