Older working adults in media?

I have recently started a research project about people who establish careers in media late in life. I would like to find people who started media companies or started public or management roles in media late in life and interview them, but I am having trouble finding leads. Can you signpost me?

You can memail me if you want to get hold of me. My research is on the idea of ideal apprehension of tools (Heidegger) in enterprise (Faulker 1991). The lit is going great. However, case studies for these kinds of companies are hard to come by because these companies tend to be small. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated and will add to my doctoral work.

Best answer: Entertainment is a young man's game... many of the executive VP's at the big entertainment companies in Hollywood are in their late 20's.

It would be very unusual for someone to make a lateral move into the field at a later point in their life.

The only people I can think of off-hand were very wealthy individuals like Kirk Kerkorian and Howard Hughes that purchased business interests that included media enterprises. I want to say that one of the founders of Morgan Creek was originally in the airline business, but it's late and I'm not 100%.
