Mobile User Styles for Smartphones?

iPhone/Mobile Web Apps Filter: Is it possible to "mobilize" sites which won't/can't provide a smartphone friendly layout?

What I want is something like Stylish for my iPhone. I have a number of sites I love and use regularly, but they don't have layouts that are conducive to the small screen of a smartphone. Is there an app or a service or anything that can solve this problem? Is it even possible to solve?

Obviously anything with Flash will be out of the question for us iOS users. I'm also willing to entertain DIY, code-it-yourself ideas as a last resort.

When I found CSSPivot [via], my first thought was it could be used for this. It's pretty DIY but otherwise it seems like it would totally work.

Best answer: Does Google Mobilizer work for your websites?

iCab Mobile has a setting that uses Google Mobilizer.

Best answer: Send them to Instapaper and read them there? It strips out everything but the text of an article (and is just a great, great app).

When you search for sites on Google (on your mobile phone) there's an option on the results page to have the sites formatted for mobile (small blue print). Works most of the time for me.

Response by poster: I'll have to give that google mobilizer a try. I do have and absolutely love Instapaper. But it won't work because I don't just read articles on it, I also search for stuff.
