Where can I buy women's harness boots in New York City?

I'm looking to get some Frye or Dingo or whatever harness boots like these. I'm not sure where to find them in New York City. Would any NYC Mefites know the stores that carry them?

Thanks, all!

I know this doesn't help you now, but on August 1st, Frye is going to open a flagship store in Soho: 113 Spring Street between Greene and Mercer.

There's a little store on Smith Street in Brooklyn, sort of across the street from Something Else on Smith, and on the way toward Atlantic Avenue. I don't think there are very many shoe stores on Smith, so it should be easy to find, and it's right by the Bergen Street F stop. I got my Frye harness boots there this winter.

all the david z stores around manhattan (there are like, what, five on the stretch of broadway between 14th and canal?) carry frye boots and have the harness boots in various heights and different colors. i bought mine from one of them three years ago!

The store I think brina is describing is Soula, and I 2nd the recommendation. They have a Park Slope location as well. This isn't the best time of year for boot shopping though. They had a big selection of Frye's in the winter, but it might be slim right now.

Response by poster: Hooray! Choices! Now here's hoping my calves are slim enough. Thank you!

I'd feel remiss if I didn't point you to Target's version, available online for less than half the price of any of the other options. You could guess two different sizes, fail to return the wrong one, and still save. Nice short ones too.
