Gift-wrapped hard drive in the UK

Is there an online store in the UK where I can order a gift-wrapped hard drive?

I want to send a gift-wrapped hard drive to someone in the UK. I am not in the UK, so it is a lot easier for me to just order it from a British online store. The trouble is I can't find a single online store that sells computer components and offers gift-wrapping. Can anyone hook me up?

Amazon UK should do this for you.

Response by poster: Nope. That was the first place I looked.

Response by poster: Sorry if that sounded rude, by the way. Thanks for the suggestion in any case.

Really? I just tried and got as far as checkout on Amazon with a gift-wrapped hard drive (though obviously deleted it before actually buying it). Where in the process does it fall down for you? (I'm in the UK so maybe it's different but I can't see why they'd drop the gift-wrapping option for overseas purchasers).

Response by poster: Hmmm. I checked "Ordering a gift? Check this box to see gift options before checkout." and then on the next page it said "We're sorry. This item can't be giftwrapped or sent with a gift message."

I tried it with some different ones and then came to the conclusion that they don't do giftwrapping for computer components at all. Which one did you try it with?

Ah... just realised I was trying it with an external hard drive (also tried this one which was OK too). But when I try with internal hard drives it doesn't offer me the option of wrapping. How strange. They obviously can't conceive of anyone wanting to give an internal hard drive as a gift :(

Response by poster: Oh! In that case, I will go ahead and buy an external one. Thank you for your help, penguin pie. And double apologies to bent back tulips!

I think I went through the same process as penguin pie :) Glad you found something!
