Is a vinegar rinse safe for Brazilian Keratin-treated hair?

Will a vinegar rinse strip the Brazilian Blowout (also known as Brazilian Keratin) treatment out of my hair faster? Or in other words, does vinegar behave in any way like sodium chloride, the ingredient that strips the treatment out?

I don't think so. As you know, sodium chloride is just salt and vinegar doesn't have any salt in it. I had the keratin treatment done (and from my understanding, that's NOT the same thing as the Brazilian Blowout) and they only said to avoid salt. On the other hand, I did exactly as they told me and avoided all salt and didn't get my hair at all wet for the 5 days after treatment but with 2 weeks, the treatment had totally lost any effect. So clearly something happened or it never really "took" to my hair.

Use a shampoo that says that it's keratin-safe on the label. Usually, the salon that does your hair will be happy to sell you an overpriced bottle of the stuff.
