Help me re-find this design exercise.
I remember once seeing a design exercise that asked you to redesign the way Microsoft Word allows users to create/edit tables. I don't remember if it was in a book, on the web, or what. Do you know where I can find it?

It's part of the application to be an interaction designer for Cooper. Go here, click Interaction Designer, and it's on page 6 of the .pdf.

Response by poster: daisyace: That's basically it in spirit, except the one I saw was pre-ribbon. Thanks.

Their job application used to have a pre-ribbon one, but they appear to have updated it. Maybe you could contact someone there and see if they could dig up the older one. Good luck!

One more thought - the founder of Cooper has written several books, and he and other staff members blog. Maybe the old version is somewhere in that writing.
