How do I add a listing to EAP directories?

How do I help a small, non-profit day care get into directories for Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)?

I'm helping out the small, non-profit day care that my son attends with their web presence. Many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) provide listings of day cares and other services. I'm assuming that these companies use a centralized service to provide search results, but I'm not having any luck figuring out what it is so I can submit the listing for this day care to the service. Or maybe my assumption is totally wrong and the best thing to do is to submit the information to as many EAPs as I can find. Any ideas for me?

Best answer: I work for an EAP - it's an internal EAP in a large healthcare delivery system - and we provide childcare referrals for many clients. Some of these referrals are internal resources but for smaller day cares in the community, we really would only provide a referral for a day care that is licensed and registered with the state. I assume your son's is? My state (MA) has an online searchable database through the Department of Ed. that we use and disseminate to clients. I would suggest starting there first...our EAP would NOT provide listings of non-licensed providers - it's just too risky. Good luck!

Response by poster: @boofidies, thanks! We are licensed (and in MA) and are in the EEC database, which I'm glad to hear your EAP is using. The EAP my company uses gets its data from an intermediate company, but ultimately that company probably (I hope?) uses the licensing database as well.
