Please help me find the ultimate black leather messenger bag

I'm looking for the ultimate black leather messenger bag. I love the everything about this one, but I've read mixed reviews of the brand's quality. Can you help me find similar bags from other manufacturers?
I've read some previous bag-filter questions, but I haven't found quite what I'm looking for. I want a unisex or slightly feminine messenger bag which I can load full of textbooks for university whilst still looking professional at the office. I particularly like the nerdy school-satchel vibe of the bag linked above, so I'm looking for bags which are similar but possibly better-constructed.

Best answer: The Cambridge Satchel Company has been mentioned on here before, and I filed it away as a source of fetching purple leather; it was the first thing I thought of when I saw what you'd linked to. A bit plainer, but, certainly a "nerdy school-satchel vibe."

I know a guy who handmakes leather goods and he just finished a black leather messenger bag prototype. If you wanted to customize a bag and have it all your own he might be the guy to turn to.

Given that you haven't given a price limit, I'm just going to say that this Mulberry messenger bag looks like the one you linked and is probably one of the best quality (and most beautiful) bags you can get. It will last you forever.

I don't have this particular bag, but everything I have touch from Saddleback Leather Company has been extremely durable and they have a 100 year warranty.

I love my Visconti leather bag (18716 - Berlin) , and it has a similar sort of aesthetic to the bag you linked. Mine's in brown, but similar black models are the 1929 - Oxford or the 15027 - Cambridge.

Look up saddleback leather co...can't get a better quality bag anywhere.....
