What are some disco and/or funk remakes of motown songs/oldies, in the same vein of "Heaven Must Have Sent You?" Making a playlist. Help!

Amii Stewart's "Knock on Wood" was a '79 hit disco cover of a Stax single by Eddie Floyd.

Santa Esmeralda's cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" was more of a Euro-disco hit.

Does Kim Wilde's version of "You Keep Me Hanging On" (original by The Supremes) fit what you're looking for?

As an aside, if you like "You Keep Me Hanging On," there is a psychedelic version by Vanilla Fudge that really must be heard to be believed.

Eruption's "I Can't Stand The Rain" was a cover of an Ann Peebles song and later covered by Tina Turner and Missy Elliott.

Donna Summer covered "Macarthur Park" as a huge disco hit.

Boney M. did a disco cover of the reggae classic "Rivers of Babylon."

Gloria Gaynor's "Never Can Say Goodbye" was a cover of a Jackson 5 song (and I think an Isaac Hayes song before that).

The Spinners had a couple of disco hits with "Cupid/I've Loved You For A Long Time" and "Working My Way Back To You/Forgive Me, Girl" (covers of Sam Cooke and the Four Seasons with, as I understand it, extra stuff added).

Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way" is a Harold Melvin & The Blue-Notes Philly Soul cover.

Carl Carlton's version of "Everlasting Love" is a cover of a 1967 Robert Knight song.

I'm not sure I recommend it, but Linda Lewis did a disco cover of "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)" as "It's In His Kiss".

Whatta Man is a close remake of "What a Man" by Linda Lyndell. I like her version much better, personally.
