Daily Show and Colbert Report blocked ?

Has Comedy Central blocked the Daily Show and Colbert Report for viewers outside the US ? I live in the Netherlands and I watched the show for years on their site and now I get a black screen. Is there another way to watch the shows ?

Best answer: You can just torrent the show. See my earlier comment on how to do this for tv shows.

Yeah, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report were available outside the US last week. Now they're not streaming. I don't know why that's changed.

Do you use Firefox? Use this trick. Works like a charm for watching The Daily Show/Colbert Report outside of the US.

Unfortunately, it's still no dice for Hulu and Pandora.

This is likely a result of their new deal with Hulu. I was afraid of this...

Set up a VPN such as hidemyass.com. You get an IP address in UK, US, NL, SE, and a bunch of other countries and you do not have to mess with downloading files from unknown sources. It's just like being there. Plus is it super to have an encrypted VPN when you are on public WiFi spots.

Why does Comedy Central do this?

maybe it has something to do with the new version of "dutch" daily show that started a couple of weeks ago. the daily show was/is syndicated in the uk and that means you can't watch it from the U.S. comedycentral.com if you are in the uk since they expect you to stream it from the uk channel's web site. totally stupid.

It's back! At least in Iceland it is. The Daily Show can now be happily streamed.
