Trying to find a song to see if I like it.

Trying to find a song but don't have much to go on.

I heard this song over the speakers while on the pool deck of a cruise ship. Here is what I could figure out:

- male voice, or several male voices, had non-American accents, seemingly British (or it could have been a fake rock accent)

- sounded like rock or pop rock

- it sounded like the word "millennium" appeared a bunch of times, but they could have been saying something else. I have been looking for songs with that word in the title and haven't found it.

- the only other lyric I could pick out was "so I had to let it go" and this was repeated a few times but it could also have been "so hard to let it go" or something like that

- song was pretty upbeat

- sounded like it came out in the last decade or so, late 90s at the latest, but it could be new

Maybe Millennium by Robbie Williams?

Response by poster: Oh I should have mentioned, it's not the Robbie Williams song.

Shot in the dark - is it Aztec Camera's Phenomenal World? It's got the "so I had to let it go" line, and 'phenomenal' could be misheard as 'millennium'. Ticks some of the other boxes too.

Best answer: Phoenix - Lisztomania?

(thinking "hard to let it go" could be "know how to let it go")

Hah, glad to help! I was actually thinking, "what would be great to hear on the pool deck of a cruise ship?" and this was one of the contenders.
