In what Los Angeles stores can I shop for plush leather desk chairs? I'd like to visit well established stores (ones that have been around for a decade or so) and try out various desk chairs before I make a purchase. I'm willing to drop some bucks for the right chair. I want it to be down-stuffed, soft leather, plush, swivel, tiltable back, adjustable height. I'm not really concerned so much about ergonomics...I don't have back problems. I just want a sense of plushiness when I sit at my desk. I'm willing to drive to any part of town.

Have you tried Room and Board? They have great (if somewhat pricey) stuff. You can also hit up HD Buttercup while you're in Culver City which is incredibly hit or miss but worth a quick look.

Best answer: Alan Desk is over by HD Buttercup, in the back of the Helms complex. You might try them; my old boss got a monster of a desk from them a few years back, which Mr. F got to help him drag home.

(sorry, but you failed to ask a question there)

The question is in the title. "In what LA store can I shop for plush leather desk chairs?"

Check out HON's website and find a local dealer. You can look at the various styles of chairs on the site, but the dealer will have pattern and swatch books if you want to special order a certain color of leather, wood, accents, etc. HON has everything from modern to traditional, and one of the best warranties in the business. (HON is one of several lines of chairs we carry, but is by far our primary line.)
