Looking for the words to a song/chant i used to sing (mumble) at school in England in the 70s/80s.

It went like this:
leader: i'm singing one
group: what is one?
leader+group: one is ...(mumble mumble mumble - didnt really learn the words).
It went all the way to 10 i think.

Ring any bells for anyone? Thanks!

Sounds like "Green Grow the Rushes, O" based on what you've said so far.

Best answer: Following on from Sidhedevil, it could be Kennth William's variant 'Green Grow My Nadgers,O'. That was very popular at school in the 70s.

Here's a YouTube version from Sesame Street, with a lot of word changes to make it nonreligious, but the melody I learned growing up.
