Particular web article on how to make people think you're an artist

I'm trying to locate a web article article I saw a few years ago. It was about things a person could do to make people believe he/she was a "real" artist. I think I remember it saying that a lot of the success in the art world depends on what people think of the artist him/herself, and that the more that people saw a person as "an artist", the better the chances of getting paid (or getting paid more) for their art, and being a professional artist. (Or maybe it didn't say that and I just thought it after reading the article.)

The article was funny because it seemed like if someone actually did these things, it could actually work, even though all of the items were purely aimed at influencing people's opinions of the person, and none (IIRC) had anything to do with the art itself. The only one of the "steps" I can specifically remember was something like: "make some art and then when you talk about it with people, make sure they think you're taking it very seriously." Thanks!

There's this book which is pretty good and more serious.

_I Like Your Work_ came out more recently and is kind of along the lines of what you're describing. There's an excerpt here.

Response by poster: Thanks. Unfortunately, neither of those are the one I'm looking for.
