What to do with 5 boxes of Jaffa cakes (besides eat them all)

What should I do with 60 Jaffa Cakes?

My dear beau surprised me with a "yard of Jaffa Cakes" (not affiliated) for Christmas - which is great, because I love Jaffa Cakes, but I'm at a loss for what to do with them.

I have googled around, but it's difficult sorting through the noise of recipes for Jaffa Cakes or Jaffa-Cake-inspired recipes, rather than recipes featuring the cakes.

Non-food suggestions are also welcome. Bonus points for creativity.

stick them together with a generous layer of Nutella, making as many layers as will fit into your mouth vertically, and eat washed down with a bottle of Baileys.
Regret is for the weak.

Use a syringe to inject the jaffa cakes with alcohol of your choice. Have a party.

Best answer: Every time I've had an abundance of sweet, delicious starch (cake, cinnamon buns and the like), I've done the following:

- Let it go slightly stale
- Crunch it up and put it in a well-greased aluminum pan
- Improvise an egg-heavy uncooked custard (whisk together some high-fat milk and/or cream with at least two eggs per cup of liquid, some vanilla, a little sugar, a smidge of salt, etc.)
- Pour the liquid over the bed of starch and bake low 'n slow to make an awsome, unique bread pudding!

Best answer: Allow them to go stale. Make up some orange jelly and some dark chocolate custard and use them to make jaffa trifle. Top with chocolate shavings and those little orange wedge sweetie cake decorations.

Mrs Mutant loves those and yes, I grabbed her a yard of Jaffa Cakes as well.

About the only recipe I've come up with that uses Jaffa Cakes is a milkshake. You'll need a blender but you should be good with an average kitchen machine (at least the ones sold here in the UK are capable of grinding up a Jaffa Cake). Add three or four to your basic milkshake and you can drink your Jaffa Cakes.

I haven't seen Jaffa flavoured milkshakes much (at all?) in London, but I spent a fair amount of time out of the coast (Bournemouth) and they're pretty common there.

Take them to work and hand them out to everybody.

I'm not familiar with Jaffa cakes, but when I Googled them they looked like they could make a really interesting base for Tiramisu (instead of Lady Fingers.)

I would question that you truly love Jaffa Cakes if you can't polish off a yard of them in, oh, say, 10 minutes.

Anyway, Jaffa Cake trifle: 1, 2 (scroll down)

Also, homemade ice cream is great with cookie pieces. You could use them for that too!

Not being familiar with Jaffa cakes, I did a little google, a little calculating, and figured out that 60 Jaffa cakes is roughly equal in caloric content to a dozen original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Now, polishing off 12 doughnuts might take me slightly longer than 10 minutes, but it doesn't seem like an especially daunting task.

Response by poster: Oh hey, this thread is still open. Guess I'll follow up!
I made Jaffa trifle and it was amazing. A++ would devour again. Definitely going to make it again in the future.
