Finishing Stone Carving

I am just finishing a stone sculpture. First time at this. I am wondering what kind of hand finishers, grit, sand paper, wax, etc does one use for the fine finishing and polishing work. I am just about done with rasps. And, do you know what links are good resources.

As previously mentioned here, my family runs The Compleat Sculptor. Call or email TCS with any questions you have. If you're in NYC, you should definitely drop by the store (Vandam & Hudson).

Response by poster: Thanks for the info on the Compleat Sculptor. I will try to remember to stop by there. I am in NYC for business from time to time. I did find a 'kit' for finishing stone at Dick Blick's
