What's the best way to track Twitter hashtags?

What are the best tools for accurately tracking and getting statistics on Twitter hashtags?

I'd like to get information about how many posts there are using certain hashtags, as well as track who is tweeting using them.

Summarizr seems to work well. Here is their summary of tweets from a scientific meeting that's going on this week. Makeuseof mentions Summarizr and two other ways to track hashtags.
