Two-Player flash computer games filter: I am Fireboy, he is Watergirl.

Help us find more single-computer, cooperative games to play.

I never played computer games growing up. At. all. I am now thirty years old and having an awesome second childhood, learning how to ride a bike and play fun and silly games with exuberant glee. After a few weeks of frustration and accidentally leaping off ledges and into pits, I have finally come around to the joys of platform games. Lo, I am now much more awesome at jumping up and over things!

Unfortunately, we have exhausted Fireboy and Watergirl, which we loved because I would control the arrow keys for Fireboy, and he would control the a/w/s/d keys for Watergirl. We had the warm-fuzzy mutual goal of navigating the mazes and pulleys and puzzles together, rather than killing each other. It was the perfect relationship building game, especially since we could play at the same time rather than taking turns.

Are there any other flash games we should be looking at? I know our next step is to get cheap controllers and play SNES games. Or better yet, if we could afford it, a Wii! But for the love-will-keep-us-warm broke type, can you recommend any free flash games I might not be aware of? I like playing Robot Wants Kitty, Fancypants, and Coma, for an idea of the simple adventure games I'm seeking.

Best answer: You could play SNES games on emulator with just the keyboard... same way you have controlled fireboy and watergirl. someone over on WASD and another on the arrow keys. Just a thought.

it's not flash, but if you've got a Playstation2 or Nintendo DS lying around, Cookie & Cream (PS2 version) fit the bill really well.

Best answer: Not Flash, but free: Treasure Treasure: Fortress Forage is an excellent example of this type of game. There's also a version available on Xbox Live.

n'thing emulators. I have them for NES, SNES and stand up arcade games and they're perfect for a 1 computer set up.

Puzzle games! I love playing clicky puzzle games with my gf. Here are some of my favorite room escape games.

1. Neutral's games
Excellent graphics, very clever puzzles, Best of the best.

2. Terminal House games.
3D, very nice music and animation. The actual Terminal House game is frustrating; Guest House is sweet and good.

3. FASCO-CS
Makers of the Crimson Room series which is mostly very good.

4. The Bar
I have a soft spot for this one. I sometimes randomly miss the atmosphere in this game. Looks like there's a sequel for this one somewhere too.
