How to add a font to Apple Pages.

How do I get a font I don't have for Apple Pages?
For work purposes I need to use Antiqua. Currently this is not an option for Apple Pages, is there a way I can download, import etc this font into Apple Pages. I don't want to have to buy Microsoft Word just for this font.

There are actually a lot of different versions of Antiqua out there. Find the one you want, pay for it, and download it. Once it's on your Mac, you should be able to just double-click on the file to add it to your font library.
Once you've done that, it'll be available pretty much everywhere on your system, not just in Pages. You may need to reboot to get your system to recognize the new font, or at least quit and relaunch any currently running programs.

Response by poster: My bad, I just assumed it was in Office. Guess not. Thanks AdamRice.

There is but not a legal one. Your only other option seems to be to buy only the font.

Is it "Book Antiqua"? Book Antiqua is a typeface developed by Microsoft as a clone of Palatino (much like Arial is Microsoft's clone of Helvetica). Microsoft maintains a page which lists the Microsoft products that supply Book Antiqua and links to a site where you can purchase it standalone. Palatino is nearly identical to Book Antiqua and you probably already have it on your Mac (I think it comes with iWork) — so you might be able to use it as a substitue for Book Antiqua if you don't want to purchase Book Antiqua.

Response by poster: Ahh, I do have Palatino! Thanks RichardP. I think that will suffice.
