What was this fashion dateness timeline?

There was this fashion-datedness timeline...

I saw it in a book of essays about clothing that I read 20 to 30 years ago. No idea of the title or author.

It codified the process by which clothes go out of and then back into fashion. It would have looked something like this:

10 Years Old: Dated
20 Years Old: Embarrassing
30 Years Old: Quaint
40 Years Old: Stylish
50 Years Old: Timeless

I'm sure the actual adjectives were different. But that was the arc: Looking uglier and uglier before becoming more acceptable again. And I think it went back 60 to 80 years.
