Back to the Future DVD. Deleted scenes used to play as normal; now I can't figure out how to watch them.

So, I have the DVD of the movie entitled Back to the Future. This is from the 20th anniversary trilogy edition that was released in 2005 (not the recent 25th anniversary Blu-Ray).

When I go to the bonus features and click "Deleted Scenes," the actual movie starts playing.

But I know they're in the DVD somewhere! I've watched them on this exact copy before. I remember them vividly (George buying peanut brittle, etc.).

All the other bonus features are working.

I've tried clicking "outtakes," which takes me to a second screen with two options: "deleted scenes" and "outtakes." I've tried clicking "deleted scenes" from there (not the same screen as the initial "bonus" screen), but that has the same problem: it starts the movie instead of showing the deleted scenes.

Any ideas?

Can you watch it on a computer and find them in the DVD folder?

My guess would be that choosing "deleted scenes" starts the movie playing with the deleted scenes included?

Best answer: I don't know how to find them in the folder. But I realized the deleted scenes work properly when I watch the DVD on my computer. It's only my DVD player that has the problem. For now, I'm satisfied to just watch them on the computer, considering that they're just deleted scenes.

Do you have the software to rip your DVD and then write it to a blank without the DRM. That might allow you to watch the extras on your DVD player. Or it might give you a disk that your DVD player won't read at all, depending on the software and the player.

I rather like InfraRecorder. Good luck.
