I like that Tim Thomas has gone away from the shiny garish goalie mask paint job. Simple understatement always works.

But I think Jonas Hiller of the Anaheim Ducks has taken the aesthetic too far.

Lydhre's got it! I'm actually not a huge fan of Thomas's new mask, at first it looked like he really expected to be traded over the summer, because his pads are similarly drab. And Hiller's looked like he just picked it up at a yard sale and had a can of flat black spray in his garage.
