books for my ipod!

Great recent book of fiction or short stories (past decade or so) I can read via my ipod (my quirky caveats inside)?
I'd like to read something off my ipod and purchase it off of kindle or any other ebook site.
Have any AWESOME recommendations?
Caveats: please no sci-fi or fantasy. Magical realism is acceptable though...(yes, I know I'm weird.)
If it helps, I like Denis Johnson, Russell Banks, New Yorker short stories, Lorrie Moore, Alice Munro, Edwidge Danticat, stuff in that vein. Somewhat humorous is good, but not David Sedaris-type humorous.
I have gotten so many great fiction recommendations through metafilter, I can't help but ask for more.
Thanks!

The Girl In The Flammable Skirt by Aimee Bender (magical realism slash absurdism, but for this realist-lover it was fantastic)
I also liked Olive Kitteridge
Have you read Munro's Runaway?
The Ms. Hempel Chronicles by Bynum

A. L. Kennedy's What Becomes, just out this year. Kennedy has a dark, wry sense of humor. This collection is pretty serious though, fair warning, but I think her writing is well worth it.
