Is there a word for this type of school?

I'm looking for a single descriptive word for a high school that specializes in hands-on learning to prepare students for the workforce, for kids who struggle academically.

I'm writing a teacher's college application, and I'm being limited to 50 words or less to write about each of my relevant experiences. I once helped out in one of these schools, and I can't seem to pin it down into a word, but given my 50 word limit, I'm going to try. The school was awesome; they offered a wide variety of courses such as horticulture, baking, cosmetology, wood shop, and so much more, and the kids had great skills coming out of it. Is this a "technical" school? The school's website doesn't call it anything in particular, but just explains its mission in longer terms.

Definitely vocational. "Technical" would work, too. Though, that's a much older term for such schools.
