Culture online

Are there any good blogs about online culture?

I'm not quite sure how to ask for this with anything like precision, but are there any blogs/websites that look at stuff that happens online from a cultural perspective?

I don't just mean culture as in 'what online communities do to bond' (although that would definitely be part of it), more 'stuff that happens online and that you can look at culturally'.

Best examples I can think of would be EVE online developments, analysing memes, artistic uses of youtube...

I know this is a bit vague (partly because culture is a pretty vague term, I just can't really think of a better one) so any suggestions much appreciated.

Response by poster: allthewhile: yep definitely part of what I mean, but ideally I'd be looking for something that is broader.

That is pretty broad...Is there any particular reason you want to look at blogs for information about this? Blogs about internet culture (at least these days) often have a more particular focus -- like memes, or game-related culture, and so forth.

While not a blog - you might try looking at the journal First Monday -- it has published a lot of research and commentary on this issue and might lead you to more resources that are of the sort you're looking for.

I feel like kottke.org (which is a great site anyway) is at least in part devoted to some of these themes.

boingboing.net has a bit of all of that, I believe.
