Who are some famous gamers?
I'm looking to find some famous people who you wouldn't necessarily expect to be gamers, but are. The more hardcore, the better.

Pitcher Curt Schilling is way into gaming of many kinds, enough so to start a board game company and an MMORPG company.

Yeah, Vin Diesel's pretty hardcore into RPG's.
Curt Schilling, arguable one of the greatest pitchers in baseball over the past couple decades, is a hardcore gamer. He plays Advanced Squad Leader, which is considered by many to be the apex of "serious" wargaming. So much so that he started Multi-Man Publishing with some friends to keep it alive and in print.

Warren Buffett spends 12 hours a week playing bridge, frequently online. Which is pretty hardcore for an 80 year old, especially one who can afford to do literally anything he wants to do.
"I spend twelve hours a week - a little over 10% of my waking hours - playing the game. Now I am trying to figure out how to get by on less sleep in order to fit in a few more hands."

This may not be too surprising, given that he makes geek-friendly fantasy movies, but director Guillermo Del Toro has often professed his love for gaming.

Bill Gates also plays a lot of bridge, sometimes with Buffet. A friend and former Microsoft attorney actually played bridge online with Gates at least once.

Nathan Fillion is a big Halo fan, though whether that came about before or after he had voice roles in several of the games, I'm not sure.

He even made a Foxtrot themed version of Joust, called Slug-Man. I think it was mostly ResEdit hacking rather than coding, but still pretty cool.

(Not only is Terry Pratchett a gamer, and his first two books as much a parody of RPGs as rip of Fritz Leiber, but his daughter Rhianna is a games designer.)
