Book recommendation needed

Can anyone recommend any books/articles about American and/or European involvement in Germany's reconstruction after WWII?

I am just curious and wanted to read more about American/European involvement in nation building. I'm thinking particularly about how nation building has been more successful in some areas of the world than others, so I figured I would start by looking at Germany (or I suppose even looking at Japan after WWII would be a good start). Any recommendations?
