Online forums for new parents
I am looking for good online communities for new mom's and dad's.
I am currently pregnant and would love to find a group I could become a member for which has a question forum.

Where are you? I know of one specific to my area, so I suspect others might also.

You can find just about anything on babycenter, including forums just for people having a baby the same month as you.

I did the LiveJournal parenting 101 and 102 and pregnancy communities. They were pretty helpful but it GOT NASTY!

It's got all sorts of crazies on it, loads of old wives' tales being passed off as advice, trolls, whiners, twelve-year-olds making stuff up, but, in spite of all that, some people (myself shamefully included) find the Yahoo! Answers Pregnancy & Parenting section to be both useful, entertaining, and a nice community, after a fashion. If you sift through the chaff you will get good answers and useful information.
Facebook can be pretty useful for this sort of thing (or not, but sometimes it can be a good stepping stone) -- search for "Montreal moms" and "Montreal parents" and you will find a number of groups. There is also something on Facebook called "Circle of Moms" that I am not familiar with, but I know a lot of people who like it; might be worth checking out.

My wife highly recommends BabyGaGa. They have question forums and "due date buddies" forums for women all due the same month. Our 2nd is now 6 months old and my wife still frequents the site and keeps in touch with the other mommies from her due date month.

The forums at Mothering.com are a good source for crunchy-type perspectives and advice -- attachment parenting and breastfeeding and gentle discipline and co-sleeping and such.

Seconding mothering.com. I find that there is very little drama there, unlike the BabyCenter crowd.

Thirding mothering.com, people there seem pretty respectful and articulate. And it's divided up into lots of forums, including due date clubs, so you can ask questions about specific issues or situations.
