OS X Login Screen Sleep

How can I control the amount of time before my G5 sleeps while at the log-in screen? My computer has two user accounts, both of which are set to never sleep. I'd like to set things up so that the computer will go to sleep 10 minutes after logout. Detailed steps for any sort of Terminal wonkery would be greatly appreciated.

See this thread; I think it describes exactly what you want. Make sure you read the warning that follows in the comments.

Because the Energy Saver settings apply to all users (and by extension to the logon screen), you're going to have to use some sort of scripting mechanism. The solution in the above-linked thread will work, but only after a user has logged in and out again. It won't be able to sleep a machine that has just booted or rebooted. If the security risks mentioned in the thread don't bother you (i.e. malicious users don't have physical or network access to your computer) and you don't care about the (re)boot limitation, I'd say it's a good fit.

Response by poster: The security items are a concern to me, and boots, re- and otherwise, would be a part of the equation.

Is there no other solution to this problem?
