I will be in Mumbai for the month of January but still telecommuting to the US. Where is a good place to find a decent furnished apartment with reliable internet? Or rather, whats the craigslist of india?

Sadly, most of such markets in India are still offline and there isn't a "craigslist of India". Whatever websites that exist, have small userbases. Your best bet might be the expat forums (indiamike.com has already been mentioned).

I have heard about these guys being good, but I have no personal experience of their services. Do look around for reviews.

Also, Google is your friend. My search for "serviced apartment" mumbai brought up quite a few results.

The popular property directories are MagicBricks, olx; trovit is a meta search engine for property listings. Although, as vidur says, most of the market is indeed offline, most savvy realtors do list some postings at these sites. Search for "corporate lease" or "MNC lease". If you have to commute within Mumbai, then location will be paramount, and that'll affect your budget. Usually internet tends to be reliable enough. MeMail me if you have any questions.

I agree with Vidur that most markets are still really offline. Internet is seen as a distant medium. I have tried Globrix (but not the others) and found most adverts to be standard cut paste jobs to get you to call the agent. The property in questions always 'had just been let' but 'there were others that you may like'. Gave up after a few days.

On Craigslist all I found was Nigerian colonels who wanted to give out the property to a really nice person at a very low rent but it involved some kind of money transfer arrangement.

There are a few 'chains' of serviced apartments like Lemontree which may have standards etc but I dont have much experience with them.

Sorry for not being more helpful.
