This metafilter post got me wondering - is there a robust website with all of these kinds of obscure world/national holidays?

Wikipedia? (Holidays are down at the bottom.)

I'm guessing the holiday lists are quite incomplete on Wikipedia, since the entry for Oct. 20 doesn't list World Statistics Day.

Maybe my question was too specific - I'm not only looking for holidays, but special days that are observed like the aforementioned World Statistics Day.

I posted a short round-up of special/holy day calendars a while back on the Blue. Nothing on other "days of focus," though.
