what's like shorpy but more amateur, recent, & in color?

photo blog filter: I enjoy the history site shorpy quite a bit, but I also really like the member gallery (button on left side of main page; not sure why my link here isn't sticking), where contributors post family photos and other sorts of everyday images along with the date of origin and some background info, etc. What other blogs/websites do this kind of thing? Which ones do you like? (Interested in 40s-80s U.S. mostly, but some variation is fine.)

The big ol' black & white images on shorpy are great, but I often find the amateur contributions more interesting, something about seeing the mundane side of everyday life from times now past, I suppose. Anyway, I'm assuming other sites do the same but not sure where to find them or which ones are cool. What do you guys recommend?

There are a few Livejournal (Hey, remember Livejournal?) communities that do this sort of thing. Here's one, which is members-only (i.e. you need to join LJ, then join their community), but there's a bunch of entries that can be viewed publicly.

Also.

Um... My second link was supposed to go to Square America, but, yeah, that too.

Flickr collections will blow Shorpy away. You can even do searches by tags like 1940, 1960, etc.
