Does anyone know what the song "This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush is about?

Best answer: See what Kate says herself about it. If you've seen She's Having a Baby, you'll recall that the song is featured near the end of the film, and it turns out she wrote it expressly at John Hughes' request.

Aside from the first verse, though, I think the lyrics are written broadly enough convey the pain and regret of missed chance and lost love. Without that connection, I always assumed it was about the devestating end of a relationship, and I still think it's a fair reading.
