Oral Culture

Inspired by the Canadian Best Songs list, and that both Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams (most likely) and Chelsea Hotel 2 by Leonard Cohen (mos definitely) are about oral sex, which other songs are about this theme--either in Canada, or elsewhere.

I once heard that Men At Work's "Down Under" fit this theme. Others that are a bit more obvious:

Kid Cudi - Make Her Say
NWA - Just Don't Bite It and She Swallowed It
Akinyele - Put It In Your Mouth

Pretty sure "Get into the Groove" is about penetration vs. masturbation.

"Get into the groove, boy, you've got to prove your love to me"
"I'm tired of dancing all by myself" etc.

She Blew My Mind (69 Times) - Rick James,
Twist - Goldfrapp,
Juicy Fruit - Mtume,
Les Sucettes - Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall: "His next song for Gall, "Les Sucettes" ("Lollipops"), caused a scandal in France: Gainsbourg had written the song with double-meanings and strong sexual innuendo, of which the singer was apparently unaware when she recorded it. Whereas Gall thought that the song was about a girl enjoying lollipops, it was really about oral sex. The controversy arising from the song, although a big hit for Gall, threw her career off-track in France for several years."

and maybe Banana Split - Lio
From the Metafilter "Banana Split" thread:
here's a translation of the lyrics:

I wouldn't dislike it if you kissed me / But grab the chance while it lasts / If you look for something to break the ice / BANANA BANANA BANANA
It's the dessert served by / The abominable snowman / To the abominable teenager / A lovely dessert / BANANA, etc
Candied cherries are lipstick / That leave red marks on the Antarctic / And to make it melt, one tactic / BANANA, etc
Frozen kisses on white mountains / things are getting to a head / whipped cream crashes in an avalanche

Incidentally, WRT "Summer of '69", according to the Wikipedia article Adams has gone back and forth (nudge nudge) on whether or not it's a sex reference, and the song's co-writer just says no.

I was once listening to the French radio station FIP while at work in the bookstacks of an academic library in Paris. It was about ten o'clock on a weekday morning. The presenter played two songs that were delicately but clearly about fellatio back-to-back, and as the second one ended simply said "Fip: un peu de finesse dans un monde de brutes". These words have stayed with me.

Oh--and an actual suggestion: Rufus Wainwright, Gay Messiah (closing lines).

Ah, the happy proximity of Halloween Jack and lapsangsouchong's comments reminds me: Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin's "Soixante Neuf Année Érotique" does what it says on the tin.
