Help me banish my demons!

Looking for a peaceful, restorative mini-vacation to take at the end of October. Suggestions needed.

This Halloween will mark an important anniversary of a traumatic event. I'm looking to get out of town for a few days, maybe even a week, to do some healing.

Ideally, I'd like to go on a retreat of sorts, or some other spiritual journey, the kookier the better. (Originally I was considering a visit to Lily Dale, but I imagine that Halloween will be a bit too touristy there.)

A few important requirements:

• No Halloween themes
• Inexpensive, or at least relatively inexpensive
• Not interested in Christian retreats

I enjoy yoga and am -- for the purposes of this trip, at least -- completely open to all things new-agey. Bring on the reiki, realign my chakras, ask my dead relatives for advice.

I'm aware of the Omega Institute, but again, I need to keep costs down and would prefer to get out of New York state altogether.

Bonus points if you can think of a place similar to Lily Dale, with its myriad mediums and healing services.

How about Kripalu? It's located in Western Massachusetts, lots of retreat style programs and the dorm rates are pretty reasonable.

Trinity Center, Pine Knoll Shores, NC? In particular, the Sound to Sea program.

Disclaimer: I haven't been to the place, but know people who have. I'm not sure how much actual religious overtones are there. The people I know who've been aren't overtly religious.
