ERB testing in NYC private schools

Has anyone every had a New York City private school recommend a child take or retake the E.R.B.s with a specific proctor?

I heard that some New York City Private schools recommend a child take the E.R.B. kindergarten test with an independent proctor whom the school recommends by name. Most kids seem to take the E.R.B. in a regular test setting in NYC at least. Has anyone ever heard of this?
