Mystery plant filter

Over the last few months I've visited a few botanic gardens and found several interesting plants that I haven't been able to identify.
Plant 1, the picture was taken yesterday at Denver Botanic Gardens. The bush/tree was about 5-6 feet tall and the pods were about 4 inches long. I don't think the trunk visible in the background was part of the plant. It might be related to Abrus Precatorius.
Plant 2, this picture was taken around July 4th at Ladew Gardens in Maryland. I don't remember much about it except It was either hanging above my head or was a tree. The pods are about 3 inches long.
Plant 3, this picture was also taken at Ladew Gardens. The overall length of this plant was about 2 feet.

Yeah, I know this is more fun, but if all the plants there are deliberately cultivated, surely they'd know exactly.

Agreeing that #2 is Wisteria (those are the seed pods) and #3 is Donkey's Tail. #1 looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it.

Best answer: 1 is Rocky Mountain Bee Plant or Cleome.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone.
For the record, I did ask, but the person at the desk couldn't possibly know what every plant in a huge garden is and so they were no help.

The DBG has an onsite library; someone in there might have been better informed.
