Clavia repair shops

My Nord Electro 2 is sick. Where's a place to send it to make it better?

So I bought a Nord Electro 2 second-hand about four months ago, and up until last week it was worth every superlative I'd read about it. Last week it started rebooting itself when I would switch over to the organ program, and now it doesn't even manage to initialize any of the instruments before restarting itself.

I'm guessing this is an issue with the main board and that it needs to be sent to a repair shop to get a new one installed. Most of the Electro message boards I looked at talked about "authorized Clavia repair shops" but neither Clavia nor their American distributor keeps a list of those anyplace online. I can find dealers but I have to kind of guess at whether they do repairs or not.

I've already e-mailed Clavia tech support about this but I bet some of you are Electro players and I might get an answer here faster, so: can you recommend a place that would be good at fixing my precious? I live in central Pennsylvania, so I prefer mid-Atlantic shops, but am open to shipping further afield if I have to or if it's worth it.

You should consider asking gearslutz.com

They know everything music gear related.

Yeah you're in for a world of shit here. This happened with my Nord Modular. I was able to get JL at MusicTek Services in CA to drop a new op amp in it, but I don't even know if they're in business any more. Clavia is notoriously terrible for tech support, especially in the USA. Gearslutz is an ok place, but I really recommend the clavia board at electro-music.com, where the largest nord modular + nord stage communities are. Good luck.
