Hairdressers in Amsterdam?

Need to find a new hairdresser in Amsterdam.

I've just moved to Amsterdam (my cat made it intact, thanks in part to Ask MeFi!) and I need to find a hairdresser. Here's my deal: I have bra strap length, very fine, rather fragile hair that I colour myself. I also have eyebrow length bangs that need regular trimming. I try to only get the lengths cut once or twice a year as I'm growing them. My Dutch, at this stage, is non-existent. We're in Oud West, so somewhere in the Jordaan would be ideal. My dream stylist is sympathetic and understands what a 'trim' is - I'm highly phobic of short bangs - and also won't give my attitude for my DIY colour.

Any tips, guys?

Response by poster: And while I'm asking - where can I find a hairdressing supply store, a la Sally Beauty in the US or Price Attack in Australia? I buy box colours but apply them with a tint brush and bowl. My tint brush survived the trip, one of my expensive 'crocodile' sectioning clips didn't, and I need a new tint bowl. Yes, I think about my hair this much.

From the outside this is a nice, but otherwise unassuming hairdresser: Bos Haar in the Hartenstraat. Inside works a dream team, at least in my experience. Robert Bos and his partner in scissors: Wilma. They've been my hairdressers for longer than I care to remember.
The way I use them is like this: if I know exactly what I want I book Wilma. If I'm in a hurry or if I don't know/care what I should do, I book Robert. Both are extremely relaxed and what's more: truely skillful. Their shop is very small and it's just two people working there, so booking is a must, but you'll always get an appointment within max two days. They cut dames and heren. Go there and I would be surprised if you ever try another hairdresser. No matter if you live in Amsterdam or not.

I've been to two different stylists at CyberSalon and was happy with both. I'm pretty sure one was named Leonie; I can't remember the other's name. Don't worry about not speaking Dutch; the staff usually even answers the phone in English. It's incredibly easy to find; right behind the Nieuwe Kerk off Dam Square. They might try to sell you on salon colour, though.

I now go to Salon B, which I really like. However, I've never been to the one in Amsterdam, which is on Willemsparkweg (between Museumplein and the Vondelpark). The one I go to is nice about not trying to upsell me on products or extra services, although I don't know if that's a company policy or just my stylist's nice personality.

I've heard good things about Clint at Oh You Pretty Things, which is on Spuistraat.

I have and had had many friends working at Salon B on the willemsparkweg - they are all quite good and most have a job on the side (fashion shows hair, tv shows hair...)

Could be expensive (well i assume all haircuts for women are) but not crazy.
