Who painted this picture?

It's probably by the same person who did the picture on the cover of this book, which I can only tell you was designed by Gregg Kulick.

*shrug*

All I can find out is that it's "Museum quality"

Oh, I don't know. I've seen this sort of thing around.

I found this semi-sketch art site with some similar stuff (mostly dogs and monkeys). Apparently these particular paintings are done on-demand by a number of different artists. Yours looks nicer than these, though, so perhaps it's an example of an original and this site is offering knockoffs?

It reminds me of Elise Hurst though as the_blizz points out, this kind of thing is everywhere at the moment.

Perhaps it was painted by Jean. (about halfway down the page, under "About your painting")

I would be shocked if it wasn't Michael Sowa.

You might want to look through the archives at the Animal Heads on Human Bodies blog (found via a search for "rabbit gentleman" on Google Image Search) to see if there's anything in a similar style that might lead you to the artist.

I thought Sowa too, but a google search comes up dry.

Response by poster: Thanks for trying... perhaps the artist will forever remain unknown.
