Variation on Mendelssohn's Wedding March?

My mother is getting married in two years and since she's an obsessive planner, she's already organizing… well, everything. She says that several years ago she heard a variation on Mendelssohn's Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream on public radio that she absolutely loved and wants to use in her wedding. But we can't seem to find it for love or money.

She describes it thusly:

"It starts out with the regular BAAAAHHH-bah-ba-ba-ba-bah-bah-bah-baahhh-ba-ba-bahhh-baahhhh and then it just kind of goes PAH-RUMP - - - - PAH-RUMP - - - - PAH-RUMP - - - - PAH-RUMP and then it goes back to BAAAAHHH-bah-ba-ba-ba-bah-bah-bah-baahhh-ba-ba-bahhh-baahhhh and continues on like that a few more times."

She says she can't remember anything else about it, just that she has heard it on public radio several times over the years.

And yes, if Mefites can't come up with an answer I will totally contact my local public radio station and ask them. But I figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks!

Here are three of the most famous variations of the Mendelssohn wedding march:

* The Arcadi Volodos version

* The Franz Liszt version

* The Horowitz version of the Liszt version

Could it be one of those? Was it on piano or orchestra?

Response by poster: It was not any of those and as far as I know it was a full orchestra.

You might try the Public Radio Market.

Depending on how much she's willing to pay someone to play it live, she can get (almost) anything she wants (for a price).
