Songs similar to MFA, Gui Boratto? (for a running playlist).

Hi! I'm looking for songs with similar vibes to these ones to assemble a running playlist:

Gui Boratto - No turning back
MFA - the difference it makes

Both of them are electronic pieces with a certain pop sensibility... wouldn't know how to describe it exactly... Progressive french house? Nu-trance?

I think both of them are in the 126 BPM range but not really focusing on BPM... maybe a bit faster would be even better.

Best answer: What you're looking for is 'minimal', though it might sometimes be labeled as techno or even electro.

Other artists that sound like Gui Boratto are MANDY, Booka Shade and Trentemoller.

Go to Beatport and check the minimal charts.

I also made a mix called Alpha that you can listen to or download here that has a lot of that sound. It's a couple of years old, though.

You might also like Deadmau5 or Boy 8-Bit, but they aren't quite the same genre.

oops, Tessio is the name of that song.

Also maybe Dusty Kid - Train no. 1.

Look for "minimal" dance music.

Best answer: Some artists in the tech house / minimal house / electro-house genre include: * = soundcloud or myspace urls

I have downloaded a ton of the music of these and similar artists from eMusic. I hope this helps you find some grooves.

That's a nice mix, empath. Nice and laid back.

Mine, eight days ago: Digeum Mix Session 05A (2:05:14 @ 128 bpm, tech house).

Response by poster: Already familiar with all the artists suggested so far, many of them haven't really checked their output just a few songs. I promise to do some research on every one of them. Thank you everybody.

empath: loving that playlist. Can I bother you with a tracklist?

Lemme listen to it again. I made it in 2006, so I barely remember :)

I think both Gui Boratto and MFA were signed to or at least involved with Kompakt at some point. Accordingly, I would check out Kompakt's Total series, in particular Total 3, Total 6, and Total 7. (e.g., "I Look Into Mid Air" by Rex The Dog on Total 6).

Also, try Oliver Hacke's "21:31" and the Wighnomy Bros' "Wurz & Blosse", which I think are lovely specimens of this genre. (I'm cheating a little: they're both on a Superpitcher mix called Today.)
