Will my friend be allowed into the Martha Stewart live taping?

Will my friend whose name is not on my RSVP to see a taping of Martha Stewart's show be allowed in?

I am bringing someone not listed on my RSVP email and worried they won't let her in.

Here's what their original email said:

ID Required: Each adult guest must present a government issued photo ID with their birth date and address. This information must match the information submitted in the ticket RSVP.

Does anyone know if this is strictly enforced? We're going tomorrow and I imagine RSVPing with a different name at this late hour will not do any good.

Help!

So call first thing in the morning==and leave a voice mail/email now. And wait for your friend at the entrance.

Response by poster: I should have stated in the question that I am looking for responses from people who have attended one of her live tapings and can confirm based on experience.

I've not been involved with a M. Stewart taping, but I can tell you that my experience with other entertainment events is that, if you're not on the list, you're not getting in without the intervention of someone with clout.

I have also not been to Marth Stewart in particular, but have been to many, many other tapings here in New York.

If your friend is not on the list and you don't know someone who works there and can pull strings, she's not getting in. Sorry.

Best answer: I went to a Martha Stewart taping a few years ago, and I can't remember if they checked my ID or not- a friend made the reservation for us. I think you should go and take your friend and see what happens. If they don't send her in with you, it's possible she could get in on standby.

I went to Martha and they checked ID, twice. They also pay a lot of attention to how many people are in a group for seating. So showing up with an extra person will probably not be great.

Response by poster: She's not an extra person - I RSVPd for myself plus three, and I'm only plus two, with one person different.

Did they check ID against your RSVP email?

I imagine

Don't do this. Instead, find out definitively - Call them.

Response by poster: Well, all went fine and my friend got in no problem. I did send an email late the evening before, the same as calling their only number which is voice mail, and they were happy I did. But really, she would have gotten in anyhow.
