Best iPhone speakers for under $300?

What are the best iPhone speakers I can get for under $300?

I have a new iPhone 4. I would like to get a solid set of speakers that will last me a while. At least 5 years. I also would like it to be fairly compact. Currently considering the Zeppelin Mini.

I've had an iHome alarm clock that I can connect my iPhone to, and the sound is pretty horrible.

I don't know if they're the best in the price range, but I have a pair of Audioengine 2 powered speakers (which cost around $200), and I'm very happy with them. They're very small, sound great, and feel like they're well-constructed and will last a long time (I've had them about a year so far). The only thing I don't like is that they don't have a bass/treble control, and I prefer to have slightly less bass than most people. Whatever you choose, I'd recommend trying to hear them in person first, because what sounds good will depend a lot on your ears and tastes.

My audiophile pals all have the Foxl, and I'll probably get one next time I have a spare $200. The sound is pretty great. I've heard that the Bluetooth is not all that useful, but I imagine that varies based on what you plan to do with it.
