Help me find this illustration!

Tattoo time! I need help tracking down the artist or book that this illustration is from. Bonus question about what to tip my tattoo artist/bff.

The tattoo I'm getting is the illustration from this image. I love the sentiment behind the quote, but since I know there's no way it's a direct quote, I'm just getting the illustration (I'm also adding the rest of the planets, for anyone wondering--even Pluto!). Thing is, this is going to be on my body forever and I'd rather like to know beforehand where it came from. I found the image on Tumblr with no reference or credit.

Bonus question: What should I tip my good friend/tattoo artist who is doing this for free? Her shop usually charges $120 an hour, but anytime I have an idea for something she finds really fun or exciting, she offers to do it without charging me the hourly rate. I initially thought $50 was a good, even number, but I started thinking maybe I should pay her what I would've paid the shop. This will take no more than an hour, I'm sure. What do you think is appropriate?

Thanks for the help!

Best answer: Looks like it's from Guy Murchie's Music of the Spheres (1967), p. vii. (Google snippet view.)

It might help to know more about the book you're showing us.

Response by poster: Thanks gubo! I didn't think to add the "5th century b.c". Looks like Murchie also probably did the illustration himself, so that takes out the second bird, too!

Any other advice about the tip is still welcome.

Best answer: Bonus:
I think you've got the right idea for payment. You shouldn't pay her what you would pay the shop, because then in some way's she's sniping the shop's clients rather than doing a friend a favour. Pay her what you would tip her, and $50 sounds about right for that. So the tip and the recognition that you owe her a favour as "payment", which could be something as simple as baking her a pie, taking care of pets when she's on vacation, whatever's appropriate.

She may choose to refuse the tip in this situation, and at least the way I'd approach that is to say something like "well how about I take you out to dinner in a few weeks".

Response by poster: Ha! Two hole-in-one answers. I really like the idea of owing her a favor. I know she and her husband are going on vacation in a month so I'm sure she'll need a dog-sitter. It seems like a perfect exchange. Thank you both!
