lyrics filter: Andrea Wittgens' "Comme Tu Veux"
I feel silly using askmefi to help me find lyrics... but my Google-fu is completely failing on this one. It must be out there somewhere... everything is on the internet, right?
So... please help me!
I'm looking for the French lyrics, and bonus points for english translation of them as well.

Response by poster: Where'd you get that? That page is broken for me, so I guess that's why I couldn't get to those lyrics?
Thanks very much thesmophoron! you have restored my faith in the internet! =o)

Best answer: as you wish
as you see
like a wave that rolls and rolls straight forward
as it must
all its life
until the day where it changes opinion
i wanted to withdraw
to lose myself in a dark corner
how can you grow?
without direction without knowing
all these detours
all these beautiful adventures
it's not my fault
it's not my fault
if i see the sea across my locks
its like that, my own world
from time to time i hear voices
sirens that pull me
i can longer resist following them
i wanted to withdraw
(there i am against the sea)
but you've gotta respond
to every call
all these detours
all these beautiful adventures
it's not my fault
it's not my fault
if i see the sea across my locks
each detour plunges me
into a beautiful adventure
it's not my fault
it's not my fault
if i see the sea across my locks
all these detours
these beautiful adventures
the turning of the world up to your port
where i saw the sea across your locks
its exactly as you wanted
each detour... and i see the sea across my locks
(i translated this myself)

"until the day where it changes opinion" really ought to be "until the day it changes its mind"
sorry. its amazing how stilted and non-native my english can sound when im translating. (i am a native midwestern english speaker so its not for lack of english fluency)

Response by poster: No problem... this is great!
I find it's especially hard to translate lyrics, because it does sound stilted, and can be hard to get the proper connotations of each word to work as well.
Thanks very much! You had three ladies just give a shout of victory when you posted those lyrics. Haha...

One correction I'd make to thesmophoron's translation:
me voilà plaquer contre le mur
-> there I am flat against the wall

je voulais me reculer
me perdre dans un coin noir
comment peux-tu t’avancer?
chaque détour me plonge
