soccer? football? memorable?

[Domain Name Filter] I want to register a soccer/football domain name (strictly .com). Website will mainly talk about football shoes/technology in football.

Difficulties are two: a) anything with "soccer" "football" is most likely taken b) football is for Europe (largest market) soccer for the US (easier to do business with).

Any suggestion of a good domain name is welcome - but having it available is the most difficult!

ie. I was thinking of something like "winning11.com" but of course a) is taken b) i seem to remember it was the name of a football videogame in the past and don't want to infringe any copyright.

Speaking of copyright -> i also wanted to get some console related domain, idea is "console website for people who don't know anything about it yet", imagine gf trying to buy for boyfriend. I assume i can't register anything with "xbox" or "wii" in the domain, right? I was thinking of a "360what.com" does it make any sense?

thank you all!

Best answer: To clarify, is the site about apparel (shoes, shinguards, etc) or about technology as in soccer video games?

Because if it's footwear you could try something like cleattalk.com or winningcleats.com or anything with boots or cleats or gear in the name- it should be easier to find something available than using soccer or football in the name.

Response by poster: good point - it is about footwear and balls.
by the way, nice suggestions, both available :)

Best answer: "Cleats" is considerably more US-centric than "boots", and would probably limit your reach much more than choosing "soccer" over "football".

I'd go with something like "thestudkey.com" or "thebootbag.com", even if it sounds vaguely dodgy. Or maybe "newkitbag.com" as a play on "old kit bag"? kitbag.com is a UK-based sports retailer, so you might have trademark issues, but "thenewkitbag.com" is available too.

Best answer: Cleats isn't a football term. Studs is the word.

winningboots.com
winningstuds.com

I'd go with winningboots.com over winningstuds.com, as the latter could be misconstrued as something to do with horses or gigolos. But hey, it would be memorable.

I'm a soccer/football player and fan and 360what.com means nothing to me.

Aren't you going to immediately run into the same issues once you start writing anything for the website?
