Website Where Users Post Auto Repairs and Vehicle Reliability Data

I used to know of a website where people could report on their vehicle breakdowns, repairs, etc so that other people could research on the reliability of various automobiles before making a buying decision and so forth. I'm sure the site is still around but I cannot find it for the life of me. Anyone got a clue what this website is?

Consumer Reports? Edmonds?

JD Power? Do you want to do research, or do you want to report a problem? I think the better sites for researching cars before purchase are unlikely to get their information in the fashion you describe.

Edmunds is quite good for this. You have to read a few different reviews to see any patterns, but it's worth it.

Car Talk?

Are you thinking of AllData? They provide direct access to recall notices, Technical Service Bulletins (which are a good way of finding out about a model/year's problems) etc.

Could it be Carsurvey.org?

Response by poster: Car Talk seems closest to what I was thinking of, but if it is indeed the right sight, it looks like it has changed quite a bit. It has been 5 or more years since I first came across the site so the details are sketchy. I remember there being orange in the color. I also remember being able to pull up the list of issues by make and model, and seeing the problems in the list without having to click through to each post. What I found on Car Talk didn't resemble this so I'd have to say that itcs not the one.

TrueDelta is a good site, of which my wife is a member. But that site is too new and too membership driven compared to the open and accessible site I am remembering.

None of the other sites fit my description, though they're certainly useful. I just remember this specific site was very detailed about its data, right down the the age, mileage and problems each vehicle that was posted about had. It wasn't really an "open review" style of approach.

Maybe CarCritic.com, then? But it's not free, and doesn't seem to be based on user reports.

Response by poster: Maybe this site isn't around any more. But I found decent data from TrueDelta so that will have to suffice I guess.
