Manage my reading list on an iPod touch offline

I'm looking for an app (iPhone/iTouch) to organise my reading lists. Must work offline.
I want to be able to keep track of books I would like to read, books I have requested the library buy, books that are coming out in some months, new books by specific authors, etc. I need to be able to add authors and titles while offline, and then have it check when online/when I ask it to to get info like publishing dates, upcoming books by authors that I have listed, etc. Sort of like Goodreads, except available for me to add books while offline. (I currently have a Touch, will likely upgrade to an iPhone soon, but will still need offline access for when I am in the US and unwilling to pay roaming charges.)
The app need not be free, but if it's pay, there has to be a light version where I can test it out first.

Response by poster: Well, any app programmers who want to create this and happen to be reading, go all out, all I ask is that I be a beta tester.

The actual programming behind it would probably be fairly simple if you can sketch out what it should look like in thumbnails.
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but it's something.
